Ballroom Fitness for Seniors & Special Needs
Myra began attending fitness classes at her local gym in 2002. She loved being a part of the different group classes and attended regularly. She especially liked the cardio classes like Zumba and other dance fitness classes. In 2012, she started taking dance lessons at a dance studio to keep up with her husband who had begun the year before. After learning more about ballroom dancing, she was also inspired after attending a workshop with Louis Van Amstel and his LaBlast program. Soon after, her husband became a dance fitness instructor and she continued to attend these classes to keep practicing her ballroom dancing as well as stay in shape.
Feeling compelled to help others stay fit who are at the retirement age, she is now ready to encourage those 50+ to get and stay in shape by dancing their way to fitness. Myra is retired from teaching Special Education in South Carolina. She resides in Blufton with her husband and beloved cat. She also loves spending time with Mother, Children, and Grandchildren.
